Why Dave Batista leave wwe
After Batista lost to John Cena at Over the Limit PPV, he came out and demanded a rematch. General Manger Bret Hart said Batista would have to earn a title match with Cena in a match against number 1 contenders match with Randy Orton. Batista refused to wrestle, citing his injuries, and so Hart declared that since Batista forfeited that meant that Randy Orton would gain the spot in the Fatal 4 Way PPV for the WWE title match. A furious Batista declared that he quit WWEis Batista going to return to wwe
Dave Batista recently broke his silence on the Wrestling Observer Radio podcast. The former WWE champion said that he is interested in one more run with the WWE and an official retirement match. The Animal Dave Batista will return very soon to the WWESome of these championship victories have been forgotten (trust us, it’s better that way). Other instances are remembered as having contributed a substantial negative impact on a title’s overall legacy. Interestingly, that since yesterday and do not talk to some fans only wrestling news of the death of wrestler and star of the first John Cena .. This came from a popular site has a page for news coverage and wrestling, but he attracts to him attention even put a title and a subject alien to the death of John Cena .. Is the writer wondered died John Cena? .. And extended it to describe the incident as a gang strike Sina 7 bullets and died in hospital Lata Jonio in Washington after the U.S. attack the mafia .. In the same way that the news writer said it might be common and may be forgotten and the fact that interested the information is to search n not rumor.
And the truth is as follows .. Completely false story for several reasons, mainly that the WWE itself did not comment on the death of the most important wrestler .. And that "Twitter" is not a reliable source of information only if spread across different locations .. If the writer has the same tire a bit in the search for this story is found to be written on the forums for over 5 days and was then claimed by the gang the Rock!!
Is relied upon by the false news dating back to August 28, 2008 when he entered the Sinai to the work process at the bottom of the back "disc" and the injury received from him after losing to Batista at SummerSlam that year .. And the process took 90 minutes to take a long rest after a year and a half years.
THE SOURCE OF THIS LIE
From Russia with love
Through the years, the wrestling industry has spawned its share of foreign competitors. One such grouping played on the emotions of many a fan by simply hailing from a country that at one point or another did not fall into favor with the American populous. In this article, I chronicle a number of individuals who were — or simply portrayed — Russian competitors. (PHOTOS | WATCH)
Of course, the main catalyst for the influx of Russian competitors throughout the ’70s and ’80s was the era of the Cold War. The tensions of that time transcended into the world of wrestling and it was a natural fit. I hearken back to the days of the first “brother” combination of Russians. First appearing in Texas around 1953, the quartet of Kalmikoffs — Ivan, Karol, Nikita, and Igor — wreaked havoc inside the squared circle, winning many a title in many a territory. But The Kalmikoffs were only the beginning.
Ivan Koloff
Arguably the greatest Russian competitor was Ivan Koloff. The Superstar known as the “Russian Bear” was a brute of a man. At nearly 290 pounds, he entered WWE in 1970. Managed by Captain Lou Albano, Koloff ran off victory after victory and quickly became the top contender for Bruno Sammartino’s WWE Championship. And on Jan. 18, 1971, the unthinkable happened in New York City’s Madison Square Garden when the nearly eight-year reign of Sammartino came to an end. (WATCH) A knee drop off the top rope garnered Koloff the title and put him on the map. The Russian’s reign was a short one, though, as he was defeated in The Garden by Puerto Rican upstart Pedro Morales three weeks later.
Still, the period that Koloff was in the WWE served as his meal ticket to move onto other areas during the ’70s, specifically the Mid-Atlantic, Georgia, and Florida areas. During that timeframe, The Russian Bear dropped significant weight to not only get into better shape, but also to prolong his wrestling career. And one of the positives during the ’80s was his association with an individual who became known as Nikita Koloff. “Uncle Ivan” took him under his wing, and together the two formed an extremely hated duo throughout Georgia and the Carolinas. (WATCH)
Nikita Koloff
Thanks to his association with the villainous Ivan, Nikita quickly became one of the most despised competitors in the industry. Nicknamed "The Russian Nightmare," the mighty Soviet famously took on the heroic Magnum TA in a best-of-seven series over the United States Title in summer 1986. Nikita won the seventh and deciding match to capture the championship.
Eventually, things soured between The Koloffs, leading to a split between the two. That turned into another great opportunity for Nikita, as he befriended Dusty Rhodes during The American Dream’s rivalry with The Four Horsemen. (WATCH) As hated as Nikita was at one point, he became a fan favorite when he aligned himself with the wildly popular Rhodes. As the Cold War began to thaw, Nikita heated up and became one of the most popular Russian competitors of all time.
Nikolai Volkoff
Another powerful Russian who enjoyed success in the ring was Nikolai Volkoff. Big and burly, Volkoff first made a mark during a rivalry with Bruno Sammartino in the ’70s. Their battles up and down the east coast drew turn away crowds. Volkoff impressed many with one particular feat of strength: the ability to crush an apple with his bare hands!
Volkoff’s greatest successes came during the “Rock ‘n’ Wrestling Connection” in the mid-80s. Demanding that the fans respect his singing of his country’s national anthem before his matches, the proud Soviet became one of the most hated Superstars in WWE. Through manager Freddie Blassie, Volkoff formed an association with The Iron Sheik. He and his Iranian cohort won the WWE Tag Team Championship at the inaugural WrestleMania in 1985. (WATCH) Volkoff also had an issue with Corporal Kirchner that culminated with a Flag Match at WrestleMania 2 in 1986. (WATCH)
Boris Zhukov
Another individual by the name of Boris Zhukov entered WWE in 1987 after finding some success in the Mid-Atlantic region. Zhukov formed a tag team with Nikolai Volkoff with the pair dubbing themselves The Bolsheviks. (WATCH) The duos success was marginal at best and, with the Cold War fast becoming a memory, Vokoff dissolved his association with Zhukov in 1990. As was the case with Nikita Koloff, Volkoff became a fan favorite and began singing the Star Spangled Banner to echo his newfound freedom.
The Bolsheviks weren’t the only Soviets waving the red flag in wrestling rings in the ’70s and ’80s. Other personalities of the Russian persuasion included Krusher Khruschev, Alexis Smirnoff and The Masked Russians, a team who competed in WWE in the early ’70s and were managed by Nikita Mulkovich.
Vladimir Kozlov
With the demise of the Cold War, Russian villains have become far less prevalent in sports-entertainment. But in recent times, WWE and ECW rings were invaded by Vladimir Kozlov, who made his debut in 2008. Expertly skilled in the art of sambo and other martial arts, The Moscow Mauler wasted no time in impressing both opponents and WWE fans alike. (WATCH) He certainly had his ups and downs (as any newcomer would), but perhaps his greatest accomplishment was winning the WWE Tag Team Championship with Santino Marella in December 2010.
The era of Russian competitors has been one that has been unique in scope. From the dark days of being the hated ones, to the days of where they were embraced, it has been a period of time that will be forever etched in the annals of wrestling history.
Scott Steiner
Scott SteinerBio
Forming one of sports-entertainment’s most celebrated tag teams with his brother, Rick, in 1989, Scott captured the WCW Tag Team Titles seven times and the United States Tag Team Titles once. The duo’s success was not entirely limited to the Atlanta-based organization. During their brief time in WWE in the early ’90s, the pair also won the WWE Tag Team Championships on two occasions.
Following a brief run in ECW in 1995, The Steiners returned to WCW in 1996, battling Harlem Heat and The Outsiders for the WCW Tag Team Titles. But as The New World Order’s power expanded, Scott Steiner saw an opportunity to achieve a higher level of success beyond the tag team division. During a Tag Team Title defense against The Outsiders at SuperBrawl VIII, Scott turned on his brother and joined The nWo. In the months that followed, Big Poppa Pump would be unleashed.
Steiner hit the weight room twice as hard and bulked up his physique, embracing his new competitive style as a complete powerhouse. His newfound attitude aided him in capturing two United States Championships, two Television Championships and the WCW World Title before the company was acquired by WWE in 2001.
At Survivor Series 2002, Steiner returned to WWE with SmackDown General Manager Stephanie McMahon and Raw General Manager Eric Bischoff fighting over his contract. Ultimately, Big Poppa Pump joined Raw and set his sights on World Heavyweight Champion Triple H. After unsuccessful bids for the title, Steiner joined former WCW colleague Stacy Keibler and formed a tag team with Test. Eventually an injury sidelined Steiner in 2004 and he did not return to WWE.
Boasting an impressive resume of both tag team and singles success, Big Poppa Pump is one of the most memorable competitors and personalities in WWE history. His agility and strength were a dominant combination inside the squared circle and one thing was always certain, “Big Poppa Pump is your hook up. Holler, if you hear me.”
What does the first weekend of summer mean to you? Does it involve cheerful chants of “No more pencils, no more books” as the school year draws to a close? Will it mark the beginning to the barbecues (with J.R.’s BBQ sauce, of course), beach visits and backyard shenanigans that fill the coming months with happy memories?
Of course, WWE Superstars are adept at making the “fun in the sun” sentiments of summertime last year-round. That’s because the talented competitors always turn up the heat, intensity and passion as they strive for success in the squared circle. It’s as if the sun never sets on the WWE Universe, since they can usually feel the temperature rising whenever championship gold is on the line or a rivalry is renewed.
With summer now in full swing, WWE.com celebrates accordingly by paying tribute to 20 fiery personalities who consistently brought the heat to the ring.

“I thank Make-A Wish for making me such a part of the charity,” Cena told
Cena met Littman, 7, of Hop Bottom, Pa., Monday before Raw SuperShow, along with Jonathan’s parents, Charlie and Ruth.
“It was awesome!” Jonathan said about meeting his favorite WWE Superstar.
Then, Wednesday morning, the leader of the Cenation surprised the youngster on ABC’s “Good Morning America," since Jonathan’s wish is to meet Cena and also become a television star.
While Jonathan was interviewed by Sam Champion and Josh Elliot, Cena made his way through the crowd gathered in New York City’s Times Square to hang out with him once again.
The Cenation leader didn't come empty-handed. Cena asked the youngster to join him as his special guest in St. Louis on July 23 for Monday Night Raw's historic 1,000th episode. Jonathan happily accepted the invitation, then presented Cena with a handmade gift of his own - a star with a note on the back from him and his parents, thanking him for all the work he does.
"Because of your positive attitude and example, Jonny never gives up," it read. "Thank you, John Cena. You are one of Jonny's special stars."
The day didn't end when the cameras went off. Cena spent time after the show talking with Jonathan about everything going on in WWE. Jonathan also got a chance to do something he forgot on Monday, getting the former WWE Champion to sign his blue autograph book.
Jonathan's appearance on "Good Morning America" will also get him a reward he's very excited about: his Cub Scouts media badge.
Still, at the end of his time with the WWE Superstar, he was a little sad. Jonathan's mood picked up when he was reminded that he'd be seeing Cena again in just a few weeks for Raw 1,000.
Eight years and 300 wishes later, Cena says meeting each and every child with a life-threatening medical condition through the Make-A-Wish is a special event.
“It felt very good to accomplish the milestone of 300 wishes,” he explained. “In the same realm of Raw hitting its 1,000th episode, it truly is just a foundation. Today was a fantastic day, but no greater or less important than any other wish I’ve been able to be a part of.”
Cena granted his milestone 200th Wish in December 2010 – an achievement six years in the making. In 2009, Cena received the foundation's Chris Greicius Celebrity Award for his dedication to granting wishes. He also serves on Make-A-Wish's Wish Ambassador Council and assists in expanding wish-granting outreach across the United States. Overall, WWE has granted close to 4,000 wishes with Make-A-Wish in more than 25 years.
“That’s what’s special about what we do here in WWE. We offer excitement, we offer entertainment. We offer a positive atmosphere. To an everyday member of the WWE Universe, that is special when you’re a kid or a family that’s up against it,” Cena said.
“You can’t underestimate the power of positive thinking. It’s something as simple as that that maybe could get someone through a day.”

A shocking scene played out in front of the WWE Universe on the June 11 episode of Raw SuperShow. Mr. McMahon had just informed Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and Raw and SmackDown General Manager John Laurinaitis that if Big Show loses his Steel Cage Match against John Cena at No Way
Then, the unthinkable happened and the war of words was capped off with a bang.
When the giant right hand of The World’s Largest Athlete connected squarely with Mr. McMahon’s forehead, the
The ramifications of the punch heard ’round the WWE Universe were certainly felt Friday night on SmackDown when John Cena arrived in Manchester, N.H., primed to return the favor. Cena came itching for a fight and scoured the arena in search of Big Show. But his efforts were for naught as John Laurinaitis informed the Cenation leader that he sent The World’s Largest Athlete home. Big Johnny then dropped another bomb: Per the WWE Board of Directors, the main event Sunday night will take place no matter what.
That was all Cena needed to hear; the Cenation leader came to SmackDown with an itchy trigger finger, just looking to punch someone — and Big Johnny happened to be standing right in front of him. Ever ready with an escape plan, though, Laurinaitis was quick to point out that if Cena lays his hands on him and if Big Show is victorious Sunday night, his first act in his continuing role of GM would be to fire Cena.
After taking a moment to think about the possible consequences, Cena came to the conclusion that some guys just need to be punched in the face. The Cenation Commander-in-Chief laid out Big Johnny and sent a clear message about his predictions come Sunday night.
No matter who emerges victorious from the steel cage, though, one thing is set in stone — one way or another, someone is getting fired as a result of the match. Whether that person will be John Laurinaitis or John Cena is left to be seen.
For his part, Big Show has promised a "calculated, deliberate and uncomfortable" attack on Cena Sunday night at No Way Out. Will the words of The World’s Largest Athlete ring true? Or can the Cenation leader rise above the giant’s rampage and, in the process, end John Laurinaitis’ reign of “People Power”? Find out this Sunday, at 8 ET/5 PT, only on pay-per-view.
